[Link] Copy Cats presents “Free The Snares” by DJ Bahler

If you like Girl Talk’s seemingly endless collision of pop tunes, you’ll enjoy DJ Bahler’s mashup of lesser known gems, featured today on Copy Cats.

FREE THE SNARES » DJ BAHLER

Almost a year since Massin’ Pit, DJ Bahler has a new full length mixtape for us. And it was worth the wait. The sample list is quite massive and his growth over this year is impressive.

On “Island Platform”  he somehow makes DreamWorks-era AFI vocals fit together with Does It Offend You, Yeah? and Wale and Journey. “Floor Master” will leave you looking for the nearest club while “Love Me” will leave you looking for the nearest lover.

If Girl Talk makes snobs and hipsters like Top 40, DJ Bahler breathes new life into songs and artists you listened to so much, you wore them out. I guess you could say he’s freed the snares.

Stream below via SoundCloud, download the whole thing here, and be sure to donate to the Red Cross however much you feel you would have paid for it!
